Indiana Black Expo, Inc.'s Annual Summer Celebration
This is the largest African-American event in the nation, with over 300,000 people in attendance. The myriad of programs and events stretches over an 11-day period and includes business workshops, health and wellness, employment opportunities, spiritual enrichment, exhibits, youth activities and entertainment. Local and national celebrities along with individuals, families and members of the corporate community all join in celebration of African-American heritage and culture. Summer Celebration is the signature fund raiser for the nonprofit community organization Indiana Black Expo, Inc. and its’ year-round youth and family programs.
Highlights:
•$35 million impact on the city of Indianapolis.
•Over 300,000 people attended from across the nation.
•Over 700 exhibitors from around the world.
•Over 100,000 screenings occurred at the largest Black & Minority Health Fair.
•3,000 potential employees took part in the WTHR Employment Opportunity Fair.
•250 youth from across the state took part in the IBE Youth Empowerment Summit.
